Full Stack Developer:

What will you do?
We believe that every member of staff plays an important role in the success of the business but none more so than this. The successful candidate will be joining our core business team and will form the basis of the technology team going forward. Grasping responsibility for the website and leading the development of a more usable, customer friendly offering is paramount and will help us solidify our current online offering whilst further enhancing our brand.
Our current platform is a Magento e-commerce solution, though we hope to move that towards a more scalable hosting platform (perhaps cloud - AWS/GCP/Azure) and would like the successful candidate to help drive this forward. Initially, you can expect to work with PHP and MySQL on a daily basis, though this is likely to extend towards wider technology and data considerations (cloud provision, continuous integration/build automation, test automation, UX) as you help us grow the platform.

You’ll be helping us to:
    •   Develop and extend a full stack e-commerce solution (desktop and mobile)
    •   Create and maintain the background services that form the connective tissue of our platform
    •   Innovate new features and capabilities

About you
Do you need to be familiar with all of the tech listed above? Absolutely not. The only things we require are strong programming fundamentals and a desire to learn.
We look for the following from our people:
    •   Good communication. It sounds clichéd but things like being able to express your ideas clearly, talking to non-technical colleagues and delivering effective feedback during code reviews are incredibly important.
    •   A desire to learn and suggest improvements. We hope that you’ll help us grow our technology offerings online and we’ll be looking to you to help guide that. If you don’t like the way something is done all we ask is that you suggest a better way of doing it.
    •   Think of new and unique ways to improve our customers' experience
