Customer Service Administrator (Online Retail) :

Start Fitness is a rapidly expanding sports retailer. We retail online through our websites and 3rd party retail platforms. We have a fantastic job opportunity for an enthusiastic and professional Customer Service Advisor for our online sales. You will work at the Company’s offices located in the centre of Newcastle Upon Tyne.
Your responsibilities will involve communicating with clients regarding products, sales enquiries, order & delivery queries via telephone, email & social media platforms. As a successful candidate and first point of contact for the customer, you will be able to demonstrate great communication skills, patience, and the tenacity to resolve each enquiry to completion, whilst providing a high level of service.
This position is full time. Occasional weekend work may be required.


  • Processing orders, handling and resolving enquiries via the telephone, email & social media
  • Issue refunds, replacement orders and process customer returns
  • Find & communicate to customer possible alternatives for out of stock items
  • Liaise with local operations staff to gather information and resolve issues
  • Identify and escalate priority enquires to the relevant departments
  • Follow up calls where necessary to ensure the enquiry is fully resolved
  • Monitor KPI’s to ensure company meets internal & 3rd party requirements

  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Self-motivated with ability to work on own initiative
  • Have a flexible attitude to work
  • Conversant with Microsoft Office applications including MS Word and MS Excel
  • Enthusiastic about e-commerce and online sales
  • Experience in sportswear & an active interest in running / cycling would be an advantage
  • Experience in a retail environment would be an advantage
