Tacx Blue Matic Turbo Trainer T2650

Turbo trainers are a great way to keep fit when the weather’s grim. Tacx indoor trainers allow you to ride your bike without ever leaving your living room!

The Blue Matic is the intermediate model of the Blue cycletrainers. Its maximum resistance is 700 Watt. The Blue Matic has a magnetic brake with permanent-magnets. You set the resistance selecting one of the ten different positions via the handlebar resistance lever. During your training session the resistance increases as you cycle faster or switch to a heavier setting. The robust frame stands firmly on the ground and it is very user friendly because the trainer can be assembled in no time at all.

The training brand of choice for a huge number of pro cycling teams, ‘Tacx’ has become a household name for cyclists all over the world. Winter weather can discourage you from cycling outside, but your Tacx is always there to keep on training.

Features:

  • Indoor Cycling Trainer to help you stay fit in winter.

  • Resistance unit Magnetic.
  • Braking positions 10.

Keeps minus happy Review by Jonty

This trainer is great, it's solid enough to cope with all out sprints.

The folding legs make a breeze to store so the missus doesn't complain.

The fan is a bit noisy on lower resistance settings, but turn up the resistance and the noise from the fan does reduce.

Controls for making sure the wheel is locked in are simple and the dial for pushing the roller tight is easy to use. (Posted on 06/10/2014)

This is my first turbo. I took up cycling last summer and really enjoy getting out and about. I wanted to be able to ride even when its icy outside. Its really stable. A bit noisy when you apply the gas, but not too bad.
Offers a massive range of resistance, more than I can shift!
It was really quick and easy to set up ( I will admit to following the instructions, but they were simple to use too).
You need to prop the front wheel up on something to get in a comfortable riding position. Proper part for the job about 20quid.
The quick release skewer IS included in the pack which was a bonus
Much more fun to use than I thought, it was a bit odd watching the TV a riding my bike! Awesome (Posted on 06/10/2014)

Purchased made for a commuter cyclist who enjoys cycling and likes to keep fit. The Tacx Trainer was simple to assemble, came with the correct (generic) fitting for my cycle. This model does not come with a front wheel holder however, there is little to no movement dependent on the type of floor. The operation is not quite, the generated noise is acceptable when you have headphones on. (Posted on 06/10/2014)

First time I've used a turbo trainer, I read reviews & bought this against a Cycle Ops trainer. Performance is generally ok but the resistance lever is poor quality. It also seems to have damaged the rear tyre as it has caused some score marks. However easy to set up & store, easy to use. (Posted on 06/10/2014)

A good quality turbo, if a little noisy! For the price I think this is a good quality piece of equipment. A stand for the front wheel would have been of benefit however! (Posted on 06/10/2014)
