How it works

Recoverice® wraps work by evaporation, so rather than trying to push cold in, they draw heat out. In comparison, ice often feels too cold and if used for more than 15 minutes, has been shown to increase swelling. Gels and creams give minimal cooling and may hinder natural cooling by clogging up the skin’s pores. Recoverice® wraps, however, steadily continue to reduce the temperature and won’t damage the skin or increase swelling and can be left in place until dry, two or more hours later, depending on ambient temperature.
