The adidas adizero Prime Spikes are the lightest commercially available sprint spikes, weighing just 99 grams. The adizero Prime has been created from scratch and every part of the shoe including upper, plate, laces and spikes was re-evaluated to guarantee the lightest product. 

Adidas goal was very straightforward; to create the lightest and fastest 100m sprint shoe ever made; no-compromise.

The new SPRINTFRAME platform of the adizero Prime is two times stiffer and only half as thick as standard sprint plates which allows the runner to be closer to the ground while improving stability at the same time. The plate is also reinforced with carbon nanotube technology which minimises energy loss though each stage of the 100m race.

The permanent nano-ceramic compression pins, an adidas patented design, are positioned to minimise braking forces and support greater propulsive impulse for accrued speed. Integrating the pins into the shoe allows the foot to be closer to the track, thus increasing the power, speed and stability in every step.
