As far as bikes go, the Orange Five is somewhat of an icon. Any UK mountain biker who has been riding for a few years or more will know about the Five and the Orange brand. Simple, reliable, capable and fun are the words that come to mind when describing the Five. The bomb proof single pivot suspension design attracts riders to the Orange Five year after year.
The Five RS is ready to shred straight off the shop floor - 1x11 drivetrain, Pike fork, dropper post, guide brakes, Renthal bar/stem and Hope wheels. It's like a custom build, but priced affordably.
The geometry of a bike is one of the most important features and for riders in the know, the correct geometry is absolutely essential to achieve the ‘right feel’. Mountain biking is rapidly changing sport and bike development has to keep up in this dynamic environment. The 2016 Orange Five RS is right up to date with the latest geometry trends. Compared to the previous Five - it’s longer by 10mm, 0.5 degree slacker at the head angle and 15% stiffer. Rear wheel travel is still 140mm, providing enough travel for rowdy trails, yet not too big to enjoy on a long day out. The extra stiffness adds to pedalling efficiency and improved handling, the lengthening of the wheel base extends the front wheel forwards which helps keep the front end down on the climbs and a slacker head tube gives you more stability when descending at speed.
This is an Ex-Demo bike and shows signs of use, overall it's in very good condition - it's been Invisiframed from new. Please contact us for more information.
