ASICS are suppliers of athletic clothing, footwear and accessories worldwide.
They are a Japanese company yet their name derives from the Latin phrase, Anima Sana in Corpore, translated to – A sound mind in a sound body. They are renowned for their quality athletic attire that is reliable and capable of enhancing athletic performance. By keeping up to date with the most recent technological advances ASICS are able to push the boundaries, learn from the body and produce top of the range products to bring harmony to the body and soul.
The GT series of running shoes at ASICS consists of three types of shoe that are specifically designed for overpronators. Overpronation is where the foot rolls inwards whilst running and the GT series will help to control this for improved comfort and better running efficiency. It will also help to decrease the risk of an injury from occurring.
The GT-3000 running shoe is a comfortable and reliable trainer that will support your foot fully as you run from start to finish. Stabilising technology that goes round the entire foot allows you to push off the road with more efficiency as you run. Its cushioning fabrics and materials mean so slipping and rubbing, preventing the development of unwanted blisters.
The GT-2000 running shoe is available in the GT-2000 2, GT-2000 3 and the GT-2000 GTX–3. These shoes are extremely lightweight and comfortable making them the ideal trainer for long distance running. Designed to keep your foot stable and supported for maximum control and to stop any slipping or rubbing. Gel cushioning to the rear of the shoe allows for a soft landing as it absorbs any shock from running. The GT-2000 GTX-3 is designed to be used in wetter weather as its water repellent Gore-Tex keeps your feet dry. String rubber grips on the sole of the shoe allow for excellent grip on wet and slippy roads.
The GT-1000 is very similar to the GT-2000 in that it is ideal for long distance running. It too is a comfortable shoe and cushions the foot as you run without rubbing or slipping. Helps to prevent the foot from rolling inwards even when feeling fatigued so that you can continue to ruin to the best of your ability. A removable sockliner is moulded to the shape of the foot but it can be removed to accommodate a medical orthotic.
